Course description

The Master's programme in Leisure Studies provide a critical understanding of the relationship between leisure behavior, leisure organisations and leisure policies, and how supply and demand interact in a national and international leisure market.

Graduates are prepared for positions in the leisure sector (sports, culture, tourism, spatial development) which require an academic level of intellectual ability. The Master's course develops graduates for strategic positions in the national and international academic job market.

The MSc in Leisure Studies programme is run at NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences, in cooperation with Tilburg University. Career Prospects

Graduates are qualified for jobs where social and policy trends and processes need to be analysed at a strategic level and they will be able to assess the relevance of such trends for their own organisation or policy field. They are also able to translate this knowledge into policy proposals, marketing plans, new leisure concepts and so on, which aim to enhance the performance of the organisation. Graduates are thus trained for leisure-related careers in research and education, policy making and consultancy, which require an independent, strategic level of working and thinking.
